Merlin Thurso has an immediate vacancy for a chef (or cook with good commercial kitchen experience) to work in our restaurant kitchen evenings and weekends, part time on a roster basis, good rates of pay offered. The post is permanent, not seasonal.
We have big plans to expand and refine our dining offer, alongside the expansion of the Merlin Thurso site - now we need to add to our small but hard-working catering team. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are the most important ingredients. The role involves assisting the catering supervisor in the daily management of the kitchen and preparing dishes to a high standard for our busy bar-restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a sometimes high-pressure kitchen environment.
