The Meerkat Movies 2 for 1 film deal is accepted at all Merlin Cinemas.

Admission Terms

Purchasing your ticket is a confirmed booking - Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Children 3 years plus require a cinema ticket. Children 2 years and below are only admitted at management discretion.

CEA Cards are accepted for all films apart from Event Cinema and Live Theatre Performances.

Tickets can also be purchased in advance from the Box Office, Online or via our Telephone Booking service.

Telephone Booking & Online Booking closes 30mins prior to the performance time and there is a charge of 70p per ticket.

We are pleased to accept payment by Cash and most major Debit/Credit cards.

The doors to the theatre generally open 5 to 10 minutes prior to the advertised programme time.

There are mostly, but not in all cases, around 20 minutes of commercials and trailers that will start first at the stated showtime.

The use of recording devices is strictly forbidden.

Please switch off all mobile phones as soon as the lights dim, and please do not bring food and drink purchased outside of the premises into the theatre.

Parking

The cinema has its own parking on site with disabled bays located at the front of the building.

Disabled Facilities

Our latest cinema over two floors, has a lift to provide access to the two screens. Our restaurant and bar is on the ground floor.

Wheelchair Access - Merlin Cinema Thurso has wheelchair spaces in both screens and in the Restaurant and Bar is accessible via a small ramp located in the foyer.

Wheelchair/carer spaces cannot be booked online, so please contact the cinema's box office during normal opening hours to enquire about seat reservations and/or other accessible facilities on 01847 894152.

Disabled Toilets - facilities are available on both floors.

Infrared Hearing Aid - The infrared hearing aid is available in both screens.

Infrared Audio Description - Infrared audio description is available in both screens but only specific performances have this function available, please contact the cinema directly to find out whether the film you want to see has Audio Description available.

Subtitled Performances - We run captioned performances whenever possible on both weekend and weekday screenings. Check the website or call the cinema directly.

Merlin Cinemas participate with the CEA card which is a national concessionary card developed by the UKCA for UK cinemas. This allows people with disabilities to obtain one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema.
